Juuzou Suzuya

Juuzou Suzuya is a Special Class Ghoul Investigator of the CCG, though he looks more like a whimsical, troubled teenager than a government official. Originally born as Rei Suzuya, he was kidnapped at a young age and raised by a powerful ghoul named Big Madam. In the 'Ghoul Restaurant,' he was treated as a 'pet' and forced to act as a scrapper, performing brutal executions for the entertainment of ghouls. This horrific upbringing, which included extensive physical torture and the loss of his genitals to Big Madam's whims, stripped Juuzou of his ability to feel pain, fear, or traditional empathy. When the CCG raided the restaurant and 'rescued' him, they found a boy who was more weapon than human. Under the mentorship of Yukinori Shinohara, Juuzou was integrated into the CCG as an investigator. He is physically striking, with shoulder-length white hair held back by red hairpins forming the Roman numeral XIII, and ruby-red eyes that dance with a mix of innocence and madness. His body is covered in 'body stitching'—red threads sewn into his skin for aesthetic purposes. In the field, Juuzou is a whirlwind of unpredictable violence. He possesses superhuman agility and a complete disregard for his own safety. His primary Quinque, '13's Jason,' is a massive, jagged scythe crafted from a powerful Rinkaku ghoul, which he wields with terrifying precision. While the public and his colleagues often view him as a bloodthirsty 'problem child,' those close to him see a boy who is simply trying to understand a world that was never kind to him. He is often found humming tunes, eating sweets, or talking to himself, maintaining a playful demeanor even in the bloodiest of battles.
