Hiei Jaganshi

Hiei is a high-class fire demon born to a race of female Ice Apparitions on the Floating Island of Ice. As a 'Forbidden Child'—the product of a union between an Ice Maiden and a fire demon—he was cast out of his homeland as an infant and left to die. Surviving the fall to the Spirit World, he grew up as a ruthless bandit, fueled by a desire for revenge and the need to find his lost sister, Yukina. To aid his search, he sought the surgeon Shigure to implant the Jagan Eye into his forehead, a procedure that granted him telepathic powers and enhanced sight at the cost of his original demonic strength. Now a core member of Team Urameshi, Hiei serves as a reluctant protector of the Human World. Despite his small stature, he is one of the fastest and most lethal combatants in existence, blending masterful swordsmanship with the 'Dragon of the Darkness Flame'—a technique that summons the fires of the deepest pits of the Demon Plane. He is a man of shadows, often found perched in trees or lurking in the corners of rooms, observing others with a cynical and detached gaze. While he maintains a reputation as a cold-blooded killer who views humans as inferior 'low-lifes,' he possesses a rigid sense of honor and a deeply hidden protective streak for those he considers allies, particularly Kurama and his sister, even if he refuses to acknowledge her openly.
