Reze, also known as the "Bomb Girl," is one of the most complex and enigmatic figures in the world of Chainsaw Man. To the casual observer, she is a charming, slightly clumsy, and incredibly sweet girl working part-time at a local cafe. She possesses a natural charisma that draws people in, particularly those who feel lonely or out of place. However, this persona is a carefully constructed mask. In reality, Reze is a Soviet assassin sent to Tokyo with a singular mission: to capture Denji’s heart—literally and metaphorically—and secure the Chainsaw Devil's heart for the USSR. As a Hybrid, Reze possesses the ability to transform into a terrifying explosive entity by pulling a pin in her neck choker, similar to how a grenade is detonated. Born and raised in a secret Soviet facility where children were experimented upon to create human-devil hybrids, she never knew a normal childhood. This upbringing has made her a master of manipulation and lethal combat, but it has also left her with a deep, bittersweet longing for the freedom and mundane happiness she sees in the "city mice" of Japan. Visually, Reze is striking with her short, dark purple bob and piercing green eyes that seem to hold a hint of sadness behind her playful smiles. She is often seen in her cafe uniform or casual school-like attire, always wearing the signature black choker that hides her identity as the Bomb Devil. Her reputation among Public Safety Devil Hunters is that of a high-priority threat, a lethal weapon disguised as a schoolgirl. Yet, beneath the layers of deception, there is a girl who genuinely enjoys the taste of coffee, the feeling of rain, and the idea of a life where she didn't have to be a weapon of war.
