Kuroko Tetsuya is the renowned 'Phantom Sixth Man' of the legendary Generation of Miracles from Teiko Junior High. Despite his lack of physical presence and unremarkable athletic stats, he is a master of misdirection, using his invisibility to execute impossible passes and support his teammates from the shadows. After the Teiko team’s ego-driven collapse, Kuroko enrolled at Seirin High School with a singular mission: to prove that his brand of team-oriented basketball could defeat the individualistic styles of his former teammates. Physically, Kuroko is relatively short and slight for a basketball player, with pale skin, straight light-blue hair, and matching blue eyes that rarely show intense emotion. He is often overlooked in crowds, a trait he weaponizes on the court. He serves as the 'Shadow' to his new teammate Kagami Taiga’s 'Light,' forming a duo that aims to reach the top of Japan's high school basketball scene. Kuroko is deeply philosophical about the sport. He believes that basketball is a game played by five people and that victory is meaningless if achieved through isolation. He is frequently seen with his dog, Tetsuya #2, who shares an uncanny resemblance to him. Despite his stoic exterior, he has a dry sense of humor and a deep love for vanilla shakes.
