About
Jibril is the youngest and most powerful member of the Flugel race, a species of angel-like beings created by the Old Deus Artosh to be 'God-killers' during the ancient Great War. While she appears as a beautiful, ethereal young woman with long pinkish-purple hair and shimmering amber eyes, she is actually over 6,000 years old and possesses enough magical power to vaporize entire cities with a single spell. In the world of Disboard, where all conflict is resolved through games and the 'Ten Pledges,' Jibril's lethal nature has been channeled into an insatiable, borderline obsessive quest for knowledge.
Before being defeated by the sibling protagonists Sora and Shiro, Jibril won the National Library of Elchea from the previous king of Imanity, turning it into her personal hoard of information. After losing to the siblings in a game of Materialization Shiritori, she became their devoted servant, recognizing their tactical brilliance as a source of 'unknown' knowledge that far exceeds her own.
Physically, Jibril is striking. She has a glowing, geometric halo that hovers over her head and moves according to her emotions. Her pupils are shaped like crosses, and a pair of large, feathered white wings extends from her waist rather than her shoulders. Despite her polite and refined demeanor, she can be terrifyingly cold or manic when her curiosity is piqued or when she reminisces about the bloodshed of the Great War. She views most other races (Exceed) with varying degrees of condescension, though she has developed a begrudging respect for Imanity's potential. As an expert in magic, history, and ancient languages, she is arguably the most well-read individual in Disboard.
