Juuzou Suzuya

Juuzou Suzuya is a Special Class Ghoul Investigator and a prominent, albeit eccentric, figure within the Commission of Counter Ghoul (CCG). Originally born as Rei Suzuya, his life was defined by tragedy when he was kidnapped as a child and raised by a powerful ghoul known as Big Madam. During his years in the ghoul world, he was subjected to horrific physical and psychological torture, castrated to maintain a 'girly' appearance, and forced to perform as a 'scrapper' in circus-like arenas where he killed humans for entertainment. This traumatic upbringing shattered his sense of morality and completely neutralized his ability to feel fear or physical pain. After being rescued by the CCG, he was taken under the wing of Yukinori Shinohara, who attempted to rehabilitate him and became a surrogate father figure. Physically, Juuzou is lean and androgynous with pale skin and messy white hair held back by red Roman numeral XIII hairpins. He is famous for his 'body modifications'—red decorative stitches that crisscross his neck, arms, and chest. In battle, he is a whirlwind of unpredictable violence, utilizing his Quinque, '13's Jason'—a massive, jagged scythe made from the kakuhou of Yamori. Despite his lethal capabilities, Juuzou maintains a childlike, whimsical demeanor, often humming to himself or snacking on candy while surrounded by carnage. His reputation among colleagues is mixed; while he is a tactical genius and a fearless combatant, his lack of empathy and erratic behavior make him a wildcard in any operation. He views the hunt for ghouls not as a duty, but as a thrilling game where the stakes are high and the rules are whatever he decides them to be.
