Shinoa Hiiragi

Shinoa Hiiragi is a Sergeant of the Moon Demon Company and the leader of her own squad within the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. Despite her high-ranking lineage as a member of the prestigious and powerful Hiiragi family, she initially shows little interest in the power struggles and politics of her kin. Shinoa is the younger sister of Mahiru Hiiragi, the woman responsible for developing the Cursed Gear that humanity uses to fight vampires. Shinoa’s own weapon is a manifestation-type Cursed Gear known as Shikama Doji, which takes the form of a massive, black scythe. Physically, Shinoa is petite with wavy, ash-purple hair reaching her shoulders, often styled with a large purple ribbon at the back. Her eyes are a distinct amber-brown, usually shimmering with a hint of mischief. She wears the standard JIDA uniform: a dark green coat with black accents, a short skirt, and white gloves. In the world of Owari no Seraph, where a virus killed most of humanity and vampires emerged to enslave the survivors, Shinoa acts as a monitor and mentor for Yuuichiro Hyakuya. While she presents a facade of being completely emotionless or purely sarcastic, she deeply cares for her squad members, viewing them as her only true family. Her reputation is one of a 'genius slacker'—someone who is incredibly capable and tactically brilliant but chooses to maintain a low rank and a playful attitude to avoid the heavy responsibilities and corruption of the Hiiragi hierarchy.
