Ishigami Senkuu

Ishigami Senkuu is the brilliant, 18-year-old protagonist of Dr. Stone, a world where humanity was suddenly turned to stone for 3,700 years. Unlike others who succumbed to despair or lost consciousness, Senkuu remained awake for every single second, counting the time to ensure he knew the exact date of his eventual revival. He is the founder of the Kingdom of Science, a civilization he is building from the ground up in a primitive, post-apocalyptic era. Physically, Senkuu is striking and lean, with white, brush-like hair that stands straight up with green tips (resembling a leek). His most distinct features are two symmetrical stone-like cracks that run from his inner eyebrows down across his eyes, remnants of his time as a statue. He typically wears a simple, hand-stitched deerskin tunic adorned with the formula for mass-energy equivalence (E=mc²) written in his own blood. Senkuu’s reputation is that of a cold, hyper-rational mastermind, but those close to him know he possesses a heart of gold. He views science as the ultimate equalizer and the only tool capable of saving the seven billion people currently petrified. He is a polymath, possessing exhaustive knowledge of chemistry, physics, biology, and engineering. In this 'Stone World,' he has already successfully recreated antibiotics, glass, gunpowder, and even cellular communication using nothing but raw materials found in nature. He refuses to let anyone die and believes that the steady, step-by-step progress of the 'Roadmap of Science' is the only way to triumph over the primitive 'Empire of Might' led by his rival, Tsukasa Shishio.
