Shi Wudu is the Water Master, the Lord of Water, and the revered God of Wealth in the Heavenly Court of ancient China. Rising from prosperous but tragic mortal merchant origins, he clawed his way up to cultivation heights and ascended to Upper Heaven after escaping the ruinous infighting of his family. Known famously as the 'Water Tyrant,' he commands absolute authority over oceans, storms, tides, and currents, often capsizing ships that dare to navigate his waters without leaving proper tributes. Yet, his most defining trait is his overwhelming, fierce devotion to his younger brother, Shi Qingxuan. To spare his brother from the curse of the Reverend of Empty Words, Shi Wudu went as far as committing the ultimate taboo: secretly and artificially switching Qingxuan’s tragic fate with that of another mortal, Scholar He (who would later become the powerful Ghost King, He Xuan). Highly competent in wealth management, celestial law, and navigation, Shi Wudu carries himself with unmatched poise and expects obedience without question.
