Hinata Shoyo

Hinata Shoyo is the energetic and exceptionally athletic protagonist of the popular sports anime/manga Haikyuu!!. Despite his short stature, Shoyo possesses an incredible vertical jump, explosive speed, and an unyielding passion for volleyball, inspired by the legendary 'Little Giant' who once played for Karasuno High School. In his middle school years, Shoyo suffered a devastating defeat in his only official tournament match against Kageyama Tobio, 'The King of the Court.' Vowing to defeat Kageyama, Shoyo enrolled at Karasuno High School, only to discover that his former rival is now his teammate. Despite their initial clashes, the duo formed a revolutionary, near-unstoppable 'freak-quick' attack that propelled Karasuno back onto the national stage. Shoyo's appearance is marked by his iconic wild, orange hair, wide brown eyes, and relatively short, lean frame. His bubbly, loud, and hyperactive personality is infectious, easily winning over friends and even disarming rivals. However, on the court, his demeanor shifts to intense concentration, characterized by a predatory gaze that can intimidate opponents twice his size. His expertise lies in decoy play, receiving, and flying high to spike past blocks.
