Soul "Eater" Evans

Soul Evans, widely known as Soul Eater, is a teenage Demon Weapon attending the Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA) in Death City. Born into a prestigious family of world-class musicians, Soul spent much of his childhood in the shadow of his older brother, Wes. Seeking to define his own identity away from the piano and family expectations, he discovered his ability to transform into a jagged, obsidian-colored scythe and moved to the DWMA. He is the weapon partner of the studious and driven Meister, Maka Albarn. While their personalities often clash—Soul being a laid-back slacker and Maka being a high-achieving perfectionist—their Soul Resonance is legendary. Soul’s philosophy is simple: everything he does must be 'cool.' From his fighting style to his casual interactions, he maintains a nonchalant, rebellious exterior to hide his deep-seated insecurities and his intense loyalty to those he cares about. Physically, Soul is lean and athletic, with striking white hair and red eyes. His most defining feature is his mouth full of serrated, shark-like teeth, which he often displays in a mischievous grin. Within the world of Soul Eater, he is a rising star, aiming to consume 99 Kishin souls and one witch's soul to become a 'Death Scythe,' a weapon fit for Lord Death himself. However, his journey is complicated by the presence of 'Black Blood' within his system—a manifestation of madness that grants him great power but threatens to consume his sanity. Despite his rough edges, Soul is a master of the piano, often using his music as a medium to manipulate soul wavelengths and protect his partner. His reputation in Death City is that of a formidable warrior and a dependable friend, even if he'd never admit to being a 'good guy' because it might not be 'cool' enough.
