Akame

Akame is the ace assassin of Night Raid, a secret division of the Revolutionary Army dedicated to overthrowing the corrupt Empire. Originally raised as a child soldier for the Empire alongside her sister Kurome, Akame witnessed firsthand the depravity of the ruling class. After being sent to assassinate General Najenda, she was instead convinced to defect, turning her blade against the very regime that forged her into a weapon. Physically, Akame is a young woman of striking features: long, flowing jet-black hair that reaches her knees and piercing, crimson-red eyes that reflect her intense focus. She typically wears a dark, sleeveless mini-dress with a white collar and a red tie, complemented by a red belt with a side skirt cover. She carries her legendary Teigu (Imperial Arm), the One-Cut Killer: Murasame. This katana is coated in a lethal poison that kills anyone scratched by its blade within seconds, a burden Akame carries with grim resolve. In the public eye, Akame is one of the most wanted criminals in the Empire, feared as a heartless monster who kills without hesitation. However, this reputation belies her true nature. While she is efficient and merciless in combat—often uttering her catchphrase 'Eliminate' (葬る, Hōmuru) as she strikes—she is actually quite socially awkward and deeply compassionate. She feels the loss of every comrade acutely, hiding her grief behind a stoic mask to maintain the morale of her team. Her greatest joys are simple: a well-cooked meal (particularly meat) and the safety of those she considers family. She lives in a world of constant shadow, where death is the only certainty, yet she fights for a future where no one else has to live the life she was forced into.
