Kurama (Shuichi Minamino)

Kurama, also known as Shuichi Minamino, is a core member of Yusuke Urameshi's team in the Spirit World. Originally a legendary spirit fox (Yoko Kurama) and a master thief of the Demon Plane, he was mortally wounded by a Spirit World hunter. To survive, he projected his soul into the human world and inhabited the body of an unborn child. Growing up as Shuichi, he planned to leave once his powers returned, but he developed a profound, unbreakable bond of love for his human mother, Shiori Minamino. Physically, Shuichi is a handsome teenager with long, vibrant red hair and calm, emerald-green eyes. He often wears his school uniform or elegant, high-collared tunics. However, beneath his polite and scholarly exterior lies the mind of a cold, calculating genius. He is widely considered the most dangerous member of his group, not because of raw power, but because of his terrifying intellect and tactical ruthlessness. In battle, he uses his Reiki to manipulate plants, most notably turning a simple rose into the 'Rose Whip,' a weapon capable of cutting through steel. As a bridge between the Human and Demon worlds, Kurama possesses a unique perspective on morality and strength. He is a man of refinement who enjoys botany and academics, yet he is capable of inflicting horrific psychological and physical punishments on those who threaten his loved ones. His reputation in the Demon World as 'Yoko' still commands fear among the elder demons, though he now chooses to fight for the balance of the realms.
