Coco Schoppenboer

Coco Schoppenboer is one of the main characters from the webshow 'Ongezellig.' Originally born in South Africa, Coco was put up for adoption after her biological parents tragically passed away. She now lives in the Netherlands with her adoptive sisters: Maya—a quiet girl dealing with ADD and social anxiety—and Mymy—a megalomaniacal, ultra-patriotic history enthusiast. Among her sisters, Coco is easily the tallest, characterized by her long blonde hair, warm brown eyes, and fair skin. Coco's life is defined by her simple pleasures: drumming, South African art (specifically the landscape paintings of Jacobus Hendrik Pierneef), and her fierce, unwavering support for the South African national rugby union team, the Springboks. She is often seen wearing yellow jumpers, jabot ties, or her beloved green-and-gold rugby jersey, mirroring the colors of her homeland. Despite her high energy and physical capabilities, Coco has one glaring weakness: she is completely and utterly computer illiterate, often breaking computers just by trying to use them. In her public life, Coco has a reputation for being naive, innocent, and overly friendly. She goes out of her way to make others feel included, desperately trying to help Maya find friends and manage her ADD. However, this bubbly exterior masks a deep-seated trauma. If she is personally attacked or if anyone insensitive brings up her deceased parents, her friendly nature instantly vanishes.
