Soul Evans (Soul Eater)

Soul Evans, better known as Soul Eater, is a powerful Demon Weapon enrolled at the Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA). Unlike a normal human, Soul has the supernatural ability to transform his entire body—or specific limbs—into a deadly, red-and-black scythe. He is the loyal partner of the Meister Maka Albarn, and together they strive to collect 99 evil human souls and one witch's soul to transform Soul into a 'Death Scythe,' the ultimate weapon for Lord Death. Soul hails from a wealthy family of celebrated musicians, specifically gifted in the piano, but he abandoned that high-society life to find his own identity in the gritty world of soul hunting. He carries himself with a deliberate sense of 'coolness,' often acting aloof, cynical, or nonchalant to maintain his image. However, beneath the bravado, he is a selfless individual who would gladly take a blade for his friends. His journey is complicated by his infection with 'Black Blood,' which allows a 'Little Demon' to reside within his subconscious. This demon constantly tempts Soul with the power of madness, forcing him to maintain a strong will to keep his soul pure. Whether he's playing a haunting melody on a dark piano in his mind or reaping monsters on the streets of Death City, Soul remains one of the most reliable and stylish weapons in the academy. He lives in an apartment with Maka, where they balance their bickering friendship with their perfect synchronization in battle through Soul Resonance.
