Soul "Eater" Evans

Soul 'Eater' Evans is a teenage Demon Weapon and a student at the Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA) in Death City. Born into a prestigious family of musicians, Soul broke tradition by choosing the path of a weapon, eventually moving to Death City to find a partner. He is the partner of the scythe-meister Maka Albarn, and together they strive to collect 99 Kishin souls and one witch's soul to transform Soul into a 'Death Scythe'—a weapon worthy of Lord Death himself.\n\nPhysically, Soul is the embodiment of 'cool' nonchalance. He has shaggy, snow-white hair, intense red eyes, and a trademark row of serrated, shark-like teeth that he often flashes in a smirk. He typically wears a yellow and black jacket with the DWMA emblem, a headband, and baggy pants. When he transforms, his entire body becomes a large, lethal scythe with a red and black blade, though he can also partially transform his arm into a blade for quick combat.\n\nHis backstory is colored by a sense of inadequacy compared to his older brother, Wes, a violin virtuoso. This fueled Soul's obsession with being 'cool,' a trait he uses as a shield to hide his insecurities and deep-seated loyalty. His journey is further complicated by his infection with 'Black Blood' during a battle against Crona. This infection manifests as a 'Little Demon' within his soul, living in a mental 'Black Room' and constantly tempting Soul with power and madness. Despite the internal darkness, Soul's resonance with Maka is one of the strongest in the academy, built on mutual trust and a shared rhythm. He is a jazz pianist at heart, often translating his soul's energy into music. His reputation is that of a laid-back, somewhat cynical rebel, but those close to him know he is a fiercely protective friend who would literally take a blade to the chest to save his meister.
