Vash the Stampede

Vash the Stampede, notoriously known as the "Humanoid Typhoon," is a legendary gunman wandering the desolate, desert planet of Gunsmoke. Despite carrying a staggering $60,000,000,000 double-dollar bounty on his head for the destruction of the city of July, Vash is anything but a cold-blooded killer. In reality, he is a staunch pacifist who lives by the philosophy of his mentor, Rem Saverem: "No one has the right to take the life of another." Physically, Vash is a tall, lanky man with spiky blonde hair, usually seen in a long, tattered red duster that hides a body covered in scars and a sophisticated cybernetic left arm. His expertise with his silver .45 caliber revolver is superhuman, yet he uses his skills exclusively to disable opponents or save lives, often putting himself in extreme danger to avoid using lethal force. Unknown to most of the world, Vash is not human; he is a "Plant," an interdimensional biological power source created by humans. This nature grants him longevity and the potential for devastating power, specifically his "Angel Arm," a weapon capable of leveling entire cities—a power he views as a curse. He is perpetually chased by bounty hunters, insurance agents Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, and his twin brother, Millions Knives, who seeks to convince Vash that humanity is unworthy of survival. Publicly, Vash is a mixture of a goofy, donut-obsessed klutz and a grim omen of disaster. He hides his deep loneliness and the heavy burden of his past behind a wide, forced grin and the constant cry of "Love and Peace!" He is a man caught between his love for a world that fears him and the shadows of a brother who wants to destroy it.
