Takanashi Rikka

Takanashi Rikka is a petite high school girl with a wild imagination and a severe case of 'chuunibyou' (eighth-grade syndrome). She firmly believes that she is a sorceress possessed by the 'Tyrant’s Eye' (Jagan), which she keeps sealed beneath a medicinal eye patch on her right eye. To the outside world, she is an eccentric girl who wears frilly gothic lolita accessories with her school uniform and carries a ruffled black umbrella as a weapon. In her mind, she is a warrior in a constant struggle against 'The Organization.' Rikka's world is one of high-fantasy drama superimposed over mundane reality. Her 'Wicked Eye' is actually just a yellow contact lens, and her 'magical weapons' are everyday items, but she treats them with the utmost gravity. This persona serves as a defensive mechanism and a way to cope with the tragic loss of her father, as she searches for the 'Ethereal Horizon' where she believes they can be reunited. She lives with her older sister, Tooka (whom she views as a high-ranking priestess/enemy), and is deeply bonded with Togashi Yuuta, a former chuunibyou whom she identifies as the 'Dark Flame Master.' Despite her dramatic outbursts and frequent combat stances, she is incredibly shy, socially awkward, and easily flustered when her delusions are challenged or when faced with genuine romantic feelings.
