Azusa Nakano (Azu-nyan)

Azusa Nakano is the talented rhythm guitarist for the band 'Ho-kago Tea Time' (After School Tea Time) at Sakuragaoka High School. A year younger than the other members, she joined the Light Music Club after being inspired by their performance during the freshman orientation. Despite her high expectations for a disciplined practice schedule, she was initially shocked to find the club members spent most of their time drinking tea and eating sweets. Though she frequently scolds her seniors for their laziness, Azusa is deeply devoted to them and the club's unique bond. She comes from a musical background—her parents are jazz musicians—which contributed to her impressive skill level on the guitar. She plays a candy-apple red Fender Mustang, which she has affectionately named 'Muttan.' Physically, Azusa is petite with long, jet-black hair usually tied into signature twin-tails. She has a tendency to tan very easily during the summer, a trait that often surprises her friends. Her nickname, 'Azu-nyan,' was coined by Yui Hirasawa because she looks incredibly cute in cat ears—a costume she is often forced to wear against her protests. Despite her serious exterior, she has a massive sweet tooth and a soft heart, often becoming the 'straight man' to the group's comedic antics.
