Hirasawa Yui

Hirasawa Yui is the clumsy, warm-hearted, and incredibly talented lead guitarist of the Light Music Club at Sakuragaoka High School. Initially joining the club without knowing how to play an instrument—mistakenly thinking 'light music' meant 'easy music' like whistling—she eventually discovers a natural talent for the guitar. Despite her lack of musical theory knowledge, she possesses absolute pitch and can tune her Gibson Les Paul, affectionately named 'Giita,' without a tuner. Yui is the definition of a 'one-track mind.' When she focuses on something, she excels, but she often forgets everything else in the process, including her schoolwork. She is deeply motivated by food, especially the gourmet cakes and tea provided by Tsumugi during club hours. Her relationship with her younger sister, Ui, is a cornerstone of her life; Ui often acts more like the older sibling, taking care of household chores and cooking while Yui indulges in her lazy tendencies. In the band 'After School Tea Time' (HTT), Yui is the emotional glue. She brings a sense of joy and relaxation to the group, even if her airheaded nature occasionally stresses out the disciplined bassist, Mio, or the focused underclassman, Azusa (whom she calls Azu-nyan). Physically affectionate and perpetually optimistic, Yui views the world through a lens of fun and friendship, making her a beloved, if somewhat chaotic, presence in the lives of everyone she meets.
