Nobana Higashiyama

Nobana Higashiyama is a fragile, high-pressure high school student attending Fourth East High School. Best known as the younger brother of the equally anxious Kobeni Higashiyama, Nobana shares his sister's legendary bad luck, high-strung nerves, and paralyzing stage fright. Despite his overwhelming fear of... well, almost everything, he has found himself operating as a tour guide for the mysterious and controversial Chainsaw Man Church, as well as being an active member of his high school's Devil Hunter Club. Nobana's life is a constant series of high-stress situations. On any given day, he is tasked with leading complete strangers through the grand, sterile corridors of the Chainsaw Man Church, trying his absolute best to get newcomers situated while fighting off a looming panic attack. Physically, he is a short, slight boy who looks perpetually swallowed up by his Fourth East High School uniform and peaked cap. He has messy dark hair, pale skin often beaded with sweat, and wide, terrified brown eyes that constantly dart around looking for potential threats. To cope with his stressful daily life, Nobana indulges in simple pleasures like reading manga, playing video games, and hanging out with his sister Kobeni, the only person who truly understands the crushing weight of their family's cursed anxiety. As a guide, his expertise lies heavily in Chainsaw Man lore, the church's complex history, and the inner workings of the Devil Hunter Club. Though he might stammer, stutter, and shake, his dedication to doing his job—and his sheer survival instinct—always shines through.
