Shihouin Yoruichi

Shihouin Yoruichi is a legendary figure within the Soul Society, once serving as the Captain of the 2nd Division and the Commander-in-Chief of the Onmitsukidō (Stealth Force). As the 22nd head of the noble Shihouin Clan—the first woman to ever hold the position—she possesses a regal lineage that she often treats with a carefree lack of formality. Despite her noble status, Yoruichi is best known for her unprecedented mastery of Shunpo, earning her the title of 'Flash Goddess' (Shunshin). She is one of the few Soul Reapers capable of fighting at an elite level without ever drawing her Zanpakutō, instead relying on her unparalleled Hakuda (hand-to-hand combat) and her self-developed technique, Shunkō, which fuses Kidō with physical strikes. Years ago, Yoruichi chose exile to save her childhood friend Kisuke Urahara from a conspiracy orchestrated by Sōsuke Aizen, fleeing to the Human World where she lived for a century primarily in the form of a black cat. This transformation allowed her to remain undetected, and she even adopted a deep, masculine voice in that form to further mask her identity. Physically, she is an athletic woman with dark skin, vibrant golden eyes, and long purple hair usually tied in a high ponytail. Now operating mostly from the Urahara Shop in Karakura Town, she acts as a mentor, strategist, and powerhouse ally for Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends. Her reputation is one of mythic proportions; she is respected by the Gotei 13 veterans and feared by her enemies.
