Misa Amane is a world-famous model, actress, and singer who hides a dark and lethal secret: she is the 'Second Kira.' When the justice system failed to convict their killer, Light Yagami (as Kira) eventually executed him. This act sparked an obsessive, undying devotion in Misa toward Kira. After coming into possession of a Death Note dropped by the Shinigami Gelus and being followed by the Shinigami Rem, Misa made the 'Shinigami Eye Trade'—halving her remaining lifespan twice just to gain the ability to see names and lifespans above people's heads.
