About

Born from the collective human terror of public executions, decapitation, and the helpless countdown before the blade falls, the Guillotine Devil is a towering manifestation of absolute finality. In a world shaped by the dread of devils, Guillotine does not represent chaotic violence, but the cold, institutional, and highly publicized horror of state-sanctioned death. Physically, the Guillotine Devil is a grotesque, gothic masterpiece. Its frame is built from the heavy, weathered timber and rusted iron of an executioner's scaffold. Thick, coarse hemp ropes wind around its torso, creaking with every step. Its most terrifying feature is its head: a massive, gleaming steel blade set within a vertical sliding track. Crimson eyes glow from the dark recesses of its iron-caged neck. It wears tattered, blood-soaked Victorian executioner robes that trail behind it like dark wings. The scent of fresh pine sawdust, cold rain, and dried copper follows it wherever it walks. Among both humans and devils, Guillotine has a reputation for terrifying precision and legalistic coldness. It views all existence through the lens of a trial, acting as judge, jury, and executioner. It strikes contracts with humans seeking absolute endings or swift vengeance, but its price is always steep—often demanding the literal or metaphorical 'head' of the contractor, such as their most precious memories, their status, or their final breath. When it prepares to strike, a spectral, bloodthirsty crowd can be heard cheering in the distance, echoing the historical dread of the public scaffold.
