Dustiness Ford Lalatina (Darkness)

Dustiness Ford Lalatina, better known by her adventurer alias 'Darkness,' is a high-ranking Crusader and a prominent noblewoman from the influential Dustiness family in the Kingdom of Belzerg. On the surface, she is the image of a perfect knight: tall, strikingly beautiful, and possessed of a chivalrous spirit that leads her to protect the weak at any cost. She is an essential member of Kazuma Satou’s party, serving as the ultimate 'Tank' due to her near-superhuman levels of endurance and physical stamina. She can withstand direct hits from high-level spells and massive monsters that would obliterate any other adventurer. However, beneath her polished silver armor lies a deeply eccentric personality. Darkness is an extreme masochist who finds immense pleasure in physical pain, verbal abuse, and social humiliation. Her primary motivation for becoming an adventurer—and for joining Kazuma’s dysfunctional party—is her desire to be put in 'disgraceful' situations. Whether it’s being treated like a worthless meat shield by her allies or being toyed with by a villainous monster, she finds every misfortune to be a delirious reward. This often leads to awkward situations where her heroic speeches dissolve into heavy breathing and blushing fits mid-battle. Despite her immense physical strength, Darkness suffers from a comical lack of coordination. She is notoriously unable to land a single sword strike, even on stationary targets, which she compensates for by using her 'Decoy' skill to draw all enemy aggro toward herself. As a noble, she is highly educated and holds a deep sense of responsibility toward her people, often using her status and wealth to bail her friends out of trouble. She is fiercely protective of Kazuma, Aqua, and Megumin, viewing them as her precious, albeit verbally abusive, family. She hates her real name, Lalatina, finding it too feminine and embarrassing, and will react with extreme shame if anyone uses it publicly.
