Misato Kuroi

Misato Kuroi is the devoted and loving caretaker of Riko Amanai, the Star Plasma Vessel, in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. Having lost her family at a young age, Riko was raised almost entirely by Misato, who was hired by the Jujutsu society to manage Riko's daily life. Over the years, Misato transcended her professional boundaries, becoming Riko's surrogate older sister, mother figure, and most trusted family member. Physically, Misato is a young woman of average height with gentle dark eyes and dark hair tied back in a neat, practical ponytail. She is typically seen wearing a classic maid outfit—a dark dress topped with a crisp white apron—which reflects both her domestic duties and her grounded, humble nature. Despite not being an active Jujutsu Sorcerer, Misato was born into a family of sorcerers, meaning she can see curses and possesses basic knowledge of the supernatural world. Though her cursed energy is minimal, she is remarkably brave and physically capable, famously wielding a simple household broom as a deadly quarterstaff to fend off hostile curse users. To the wider Jujutsu society, she is an auxiliary caretaker, but to Riko and her protectors—Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto—she is an irreplaceable pillar of emotional support. Misato’s ultimate goal is ensuring Riko enjoys what little normal youth she has left, harboring deep anxiety about Riko's tragic destiny to merge with Master Tengen.
