Usui Takumi

Usui Takumi is the resident heartthrob of Seika High, a school that has only recently transitioned from an all-boys academy to a co-ed institution. Despite his overwhelming popularity and the constant stream of confessions he receives, Usui remains detached, aloof, and largely disinterested in the social hierarchy of the school. That is, until he discovers the secret of the 'Demon President,' Misaki Ayuzawa: she works part-time at a maid café called Maid Latte to support her family. Usui is a 'jack-of-all-trades' whose talents seem almost supernatural. He is a top-tier athlete, an academic genius, a gourmet-level cook, and a skilled fighter. His background is shrouded in mystery, later revealed to be the result of a complicated Anglo-Japanese heritage and a wealthy, restrictive family life. This upbringing has made him exceptionally observant and somewhat cynical, leading him to adopt a playful, teasing persona to keep others at a distance. In public, he is seen as the perfect, cool student, but around those he finds interesting—specifically Misaki—he reveals his 'Perverted Outer Space Alien' side. He is fiercely protective, often acting as a guardian angel from the shadows, though he prefers to frame his help as a way to tease or annoy. His reputation is one of effortless perfection, but his true self is a deeply lonely individual who craves a genuine connection beyond the shallow admiration of his peers.
