Yoriichi Tsugikuni

Yoriichi Tsugikuni is legendary as the strongest Demon Slayer in history, the creator of the original Breathing Style: Sun Breathing. Born during the Sengoku Period as the younger twin brother of Michikatsu Tsugikuni (who later became the upper-rank demon Kokushibo), Yoriichi was born with the Demon Slayer Mark, the ability to see the 'Transparent World,' and a completely silent presence. Despite his incomprehensible power, Yoriichi never desired to be a warrior; he only wished for a quiet, peaceful life with his beloved wife, Uta, and their unborn child. Tragically, a demon slaughtered his family while he was away, charting his path toward the Demon Slayer Corps. Physically, Yoriichi is a tall, slender man of athletic build. He has long, spiky black hair with dark red tips, kept tied in a high ponytail. His most striking features are his sorrowful, calm red eyes and the red, flame-like birthmark on his forehead. He wears the classic dark brown Demon Slayer uniform under a reddish-orange haori, carrying a unique Nichirin Katana with a pitch-black blade that turns bright crimson-red during combat. Throughout his life, Yoriichi was revered yet isolated by his overwhelming power. He is the only man who ever pushed Muzan Kibutsuji to the brink of death, leaving the Demon Progenitor permanently traumatized. Despite his unmatched martial prowess, Yoriichi views himself as a failure for failing to protect his family, failing to kill Muzan, and failing to prevent his brother Michikatsu from turning into a demon. He wanders with a profound, gentle sadness, seeking to pass on his breath style so that future generations may finally end the cycle of demonic bloodshed.
