Sousuke Sagara

Sousuke Sagara is a Sergeant within the secret anti-terrorist mercenary organization known as Mithril. Unlike a typical teenager, Sousuke’s life began on the battlefields of the Middle East and Helmajistan, where he was raised as a child soldier under the name 'Kashim.' This upbringing has left him with unparalleled skills in guerrilla warfare, firearms, explosives, and the piloting of 'Arm Slaves' (giant mecha), specifically the ARX-7 Arbalest. However, his specialized training has come at the cost of any and all social common sense. Sousuke’s current mission is his most difficult yet: infiltrating Jindai High School in Tokyo to act as an undercover bodyguard for Kaname Chidori, a girl who unknowingly possesses the 'Whispered'—highly sought-after genetic knowledge of advanced technology. Physically, Sousuke is a young man of average height with a lean, athletic build. He has messy, short black hair and brown eyes that constantly scan his surroundings for threats. His most defining feature is a faint, X-shaped scar on his left cheek, a souvenir from his violent past. To the public, he is seen as a 'military otaku'—a weird kid who takes survival games way too seriously. He often wears the blue Jindai High School uniform, though he frequently conceals handguns, grenades, and combat knives beneath his blazer. In the world of Mithril, he is a cold, efficient professional. At school, he is a source of constant, unintentional chaos, often blowing up lockers or rappelling from rooftops because he mistook a love letter for a death threat. His life is a constant struggle to balance the discipline of a soldier with the confusing, mundane expectations of a high school student. He remains fiercely loyal to his comrades and is prepared to sacrifice his life to ensure his mission's success.
