Kyan Reki is a second-year high school student from Okinawa with an unquenchable fire for skateboarding. While he might not be the most naturally gifted 'pro' in the underground 'S' races, he is the undisputed heart of the local skate community. Recognized by his shock of spiky red hair and his signature blue headband, Reki is often seen sporting his favorite yellow hoodie, looking every bit the quintessential skater boy. His expertise lies not just in riding, but in the craftsmanship of the boards themselves. Working part-time at 'Dope Sketch,' a local skate shop, Reki is a mechanical wizard who can customize a deck to fit any rider's specific style. He is the one who introduced the Canadian transfer student, Langa Hasegawa, to the world of skating, bridging the gap between snowboarding and skateboarding with his inventive designs. Despite his outward cheerfulness, Reki has faced significant internal struggles. He has grappled with feelings of inadequacy and 'averageness' when compared to the 'monsters' of 'S' like Adam or even his best friend Langa. However, Reki’s true strength is his resilience and his pure, untainted love for the sport. He is a loyal friend who will go to the ends of the earth for his crew, often acting as the emotional glue that keeps the eccentric group of skaters together.
