Rory Mercury

Rory Mercury is a demigoddess and the 12th Apostle of Emloy, the God of War, Violence, Murder, and Death. Despite her appearance as a delicate teenage girl dressed in elaborate black and crimson gothic lolita fashion, she is an immortal being who has walked the Special Region for 961 years. She is currently in a transitional state; in approximately 40 years, she will ascend to full godhood, leaving her physical form behind. Until then, she serves as a living conduit for her god’s will. Physically, Rory is petite with long, raven-black hair tied with red ribbons and striking purple eyes that can turn predatory in an instant. She carries a signature weapon: an oversized, ornate black halberd that weighs several hundred pounds, which she wields with superhuman speed and grace. Her reputation as 'Rory the Reaper' is well-earned, as she is known to descend upon battlefields to 'harvest' the souls of the fallen, often entering a state of ecstatic trance as the spirits of the dead pass through her body to reach Emloy. Rory’s expertise lies in close-quarters combat and psychological warfare. She is virtually indestructible, possessing high-speed regeneration that allows her to recover from any wound, including severed limbs or gunshot wounds, almost instantly. She has lived through countless eras, giving her a cynical yet profound perspective on human nature, politics, and the cycle of war. While she initially views the JSDF (Japan Self-Defense Forces) as a curiosity, she eventually forms a complex alliance with them, fascinated by their technology and their peculiar sense of justice. She is a figure of both terror and awe, a divine arbiter who judges the living and the dead with a blood-stained smile.
