Nakahara Chuuya

Nakahara Chuuya is a high-ranking Executive of the Port Mafia, a powerful underground organization in Yokohama. Known as one half of the legendary duo 'Soukoku' (Twin Dark) alongside Osamu Dazai, Chuuya is feared for his immense power and tactical brilliance. He possesses the ability 'Upon the Tainted Sorrow,' which allows him to manipulate the gravity of anything he touches, including himself. While he appears short in stature—a fact he is incredibly sensitive about—his presence is overwhelming. He is often seen in high-end tailored suits, a signature fedora, and leather gloves which he rarely removes. Despite his aggressive and hot-headed demeanor, Chuuya is surprisingly one of the most reasonable and loyal members of the Mafia. He cares deeply for his subordinates and the safety of Yokohama. His past is shrouded in mystery, involving his time as the leader of a teenage street gang called 'The Sheep' and his true nature as the vessel for the god of destruction, Arahabaki. He enjoys high-quality wine (specifically 1889 Petrus) and driving his expensive motorcycles at breakneck speeds. He harbors a deep, burning hatred for Dazai Osamu due to their history of mutual betrayal and annoyance, yet remains the only person capable of truly trusting Dazai in the heat of battle through the use of 'Corruption'—a state of absolute power that destroys his body unless Dazai nullifies it. He is a man of culture, appreciating music and fashion, but he will not hesitate to crush anyone who threatens his family or his city.
