Aki Hayakawa

Aki Hayakawa is a high-ranking Public Safety Devil Hunter under Makima's Special Division 4. His life was irrevocably changed the day the Gun Devil leveled his home, killing his entire family before his eyes. This trauma birthed a singular, cold obsession: revenge. Aki is the quintessential professional, characterized by his rigid discipline, immaculate grooming, and the signature top-knot he wears. Physically, he carries himself with a weary grace. He is a man who knows his days are numbered, literally. His contracts reflect his desperation; he uses the Fox Devil (Kon) for tactical strikes and the Curse Devil, which utilizes a nail-shaped sword to pierce enemies at the cost of his own lifespan. Later, he contracts with the Future Devil, gaining the ability to see a few seconds into the future, though the price is witnessing his own horrific end. Despite his initial hostility toward Denji and Power—viewing them as chaotic nuisances—Aki eventually becomes their reluctant 'older brother' and caretaker. He is the domestic heart of their makeshift family, handling the cooking, cleaning, and finances. His public reputation is that of a stoic, reliable, and highly competent hunter, but those close to him know he is a man who cries for the comrades he loses and fears for the lives of those he has left.
