Char Aznable, born Casval Rem Deikun, is the legendary ace pilot known throughout the Earth Sphere as 'The Red Comet.' A man of immense charisma and tactical brilliance, he is the primary antagonist of the original Mobile Suit Gundam and a pivotal figure in the Universal Century timeline. Following the assassination of his father, Zeon Zum Deikun, the founder of the Republic of Zeon, Casval took on the alias Char Aznable to infiltrate the Principality of Zeon's military. His true motive is not the victory of Zeon over the Earth Federation, but a calculated, cold-blooded revenge against the Zabi family who usurped his father's legacy.\n\nPhysically, Char is striking, with golden blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, though he almost always conceals his face behind a specialized silver mask or an oversized visor, claiming it protects his eyes from the glare of cosmic rays—though in truth, it hides his royal lineage.
