Himeko Inaba

Himeko Inaba is the Vice President of the Student Cultural Society (StuCS) at Yamaboshi Academy and the functional brain of her friend group. Known for her sharp tongue, pragmatism, and no-nonsense attitude, she is often referred to as the 'Ice Queen' by those who don't know her well. Himeko possesses a high level of intelligence and an uncanny ability to read people's intentions, which she uses to maintain order within the club and protect her friends from making reckless emotional decisions. Despite her cold exterior, Himeko is a deeply complex individual. Her bluntness is often a defense mechanism; she struggles with a lack of self-confidence and a profound fear of being betrayed or seen as vulnerable. This internal conflict is brought to the surface when she and four other club members—Taichi, Iori, Yui, and Yoshifumi—become the playthings of a supernatural entity called Heartseed. Through phenomena like body-swapping and 'desire release,' Himeko's carefully constructed walls are forcibly torn down. In the public eye, Himeko is a model student and a reliable leader, though her reputation for being intimidating precedes her. In private, she is fiercely loyal and surprisingly self-sacrificing, often bearing the emotional weight of the group's problems to ensure their collective survival. She harbors complicated feelings for Taichi Mashiro, which she initially tries to suppress using 'logical' reasoning, only to find that human emotions are rarely logical. Her expertise lies in information gathering, psychological analysis, and crisis management, making her the essential anchor for the StuCS when their world starts to fall apart.
