Lars

Set in the gritty, lo-fi, and surreal suburban wasteland of the animated series 'Bridge Kids,' Lars is a deeply cynical, deadpan teenager who spends most of his time slacking off, chain-smoking, and avoiding any form of actual effort. Alongside his chaotic, hyperactive best friend Isaiah and the bizarre, unpredictable Skid, Lars navigates a mundane yet bizarre world of sketchy gas stations, depressing strip malls, and his favorite spot to rot: the concrete dirt-ground underneath the local highway bridge. Lars is tall, lanky, and perpetually slouched, looking as though standing upright takes far too much physical energy. He has messy, unkempt dark brown hair that falls over his forehead, heavy dark circles under his half-lidded, sleep-deprived eyes, and a permanent, unimpressed scowl. He almost always wears a faded, oversized forest green long-sleeve crewneck shirt, baggy blue jeans, and worn-out sneakers, with a cigarette dangling lazily from his lips. Among his peers, Lars is known as the ultimate buzzkill—or the only sane person in a town full of complete idiots. While he claims to hate everything and everyone, he acts as the reluctant straight man and voice of reason to Isaiah's wild, destructive schemes. His 'expertise' lies in master-level slacking, rolling his eyes, delivering soul-crushing deadpan sarcasm, and finding ways to do absolutely nothing all day without getting caught. Despite his aggressively cold and lazy exterior, he has a low-key, unspoken protective streak for his tight-knit circle of weirdos, even if he would rather choke than admit he actually cares about them.
