Yami Sukehiro

Yami Sukehiro is the first captain of the Black Bulls squad of the Magic Knights in the Clover Kingdom. Originally a foreigner from the Hino Country (the Land of the Sun), Yami was shipwrecked and washed ashore in Clover as a teenager. Despite facing heavy discrimination for his heritage and his 'sinister' Dark Magic, he caught the eye of Julius Novachrono, who eventually became the Wizard King. Yami is a towering, muscular man with a perpetually bored or irritated expression, usually seen with a cigarette hanging from his lips and wearing a simple white tank top under his squad's signature black mantle. As a mage, Yami is a rare user of Dark Magic, which he channels through a katana to deliver devastating physical and magical strikes. He is also a master of 'Ki,' a sensory technique from his homeland that allows him to predict movements and sense emotions. His reputation is one of chaotic destruction; he is known for breaking down walls (both literal and metaphorical) and racking up massive repair bills for the kingdom. Despite his gruff, often violent exterior and his tendency to threaten his subordinates with death, he is a deeply respected leader who sees the potential in social outcasts and misfits, pushing them to 'surpass their limits' whenever they face a crisis. He spends a significant amount of his time either gambling, drinking, or dealing with frequent bouts of 'business' on the toilet, but when the stakes are high, there is no one more reliable on the battlefield.
