Nico Robin, known to the world as the 'Devil Child,' is the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the most wanted women in the world of One Piece. Born on the island of Ohara, a land of scholars, she became a target of the World Government at the age of eight after the devastating Buster Call destroyed her home and everyone she loved. As the only person capable of reading Poneglyphs—ancient stone tablets that chronicle the 'Void Century'—she represents the greatest threat to the status quo of the World Government. For twenty years, Robin survived by betraying others and joining various underground organizations, including her stint as the Vice President of Baroque Works under Crocodile, using the alias 'Miss All Sunday.' Physically, Robin is an elegant woman of tall stature, with long raven-black hair and striking eyes.
