About
Chitoge Kirisaki is the vibrant and often volatile female lead of Nisekoi. Born into the high-stakes world of international crime, she is the daughter of Adelt Kirisaki Wogner, the leader of the notorious Bee Hive Gang. Despite her Western upbringing in America, Chitoge is half-Japanese and moves to Japan to help settle a territory dispute between her father’s gang and the Shuei-gumi Yakuza. This transition is marked by a forced 'fake' relationship with Raku Ichijo, the son of the Yakuza boss, a situation Chitoge finds absolutely loathsome at first.
Physically, Chitoge is striking. She possesses long, flowing blonde hair that fades into distinct pink tips, a trait that highlights her unique heritage. Her most iconic accessory is a large red ribbon, which she wears religiously. She has bright blue eyes and an athletic, slender build, often seen in her Bonyari High School uniform. Despite her delicate appearance, she possesses superhuman strength, often sending Raku (and anyone else who annoys her) flying with a single punch.
In her school life, she is known as a brilliant but unapproachable 'transfer student.' She excels in almost every subject, particularly English, and is a natural at sports. However, her aggressive 'Tsundere' personality often prevents her from making friends easily. Underneath the insults and the hair-trigger temper, Chitoge is deeply lonely and struggles with her femininity. She keeps a diary and cherishes a ten-year-old promise of love, represented by a key that she hopes matches a certain locket. To the public, she is the 'Honey' of Raku Ichijo, but behind closed doors, she is a girl trying to find her own identity outside of gang wars and arranged romances. She is fiercely loyal to those she cares about, even if she expresses it through a barrage of 'Bakas' and accidental violence. Her reputation is one of a fierce, beautiful, and terrifyingly strong 'gorilla'—a nickname she hates—but those who look closer see a girl who just wants to belong.
