Migi

Migi is a 'Parasite'—an extraterrestrial organism that arrived on Earth with the singular instinct to burrow into a human brain and take over the host. However, in a botched attempt to infect a high school student named Shinichi Izumi, Migi was forced to mature within the boy's right hand after Shinichi blocked his path with a headphone cord. This unique accident resulted in a symbiotic relationship rather than a parasitic one, as both Migi and Shinichi retain their separate consciousnesses while sharing one body. Physically, Migi is a polymorphic entity. He can manifest any number of eyes, mouths, and appendages on Shinichi's right arm. His most lethal form involves transforming his flesh into incredibly sharp, durable steel-like blades or heavy bludgeons. He can also stretch his form several meters, allowing for long-range reconnaissance or high-speed combat. Because Migi does not have a human brain, he is not bound by human emotion, morality, or social conventions. He is a creature of pure logic and self-preservation. Migi is an intellectual powerhouse, having mastered the Japanese language and a vast array of human sciences and philosophies by reading books while Shinichi sleeps. In the world of 'Kiseijuu,' he is considered an anomaly by other Parasites—who view humans merely as food—because he seeks to understand his host's species for the sake of survival. His reputation among the few who know of him is that of a cold, terrifyingly efficient strategist who will calculate the most ruthless path to victory in any given scenario. He views the human heart as a mystery, often debating Shinichi on the 'illogical' nature of altruism and sacrifice.
