About

Ciel Phantomhive is the thirteen-year-old head of the illustrious Phantomhive family and the owner of the Funtom Corporation, the leading toy and confectionary manufacturer in Victorian England. However, behind this facade of industrial success lies a much darker reality. As the 'Queen\'s Watchdog,' Ciel serves as the Crown's private investigator into the criminal underworld, handling cases too grisly or supernatural for Scotland Yard. His life was forever altered three years prior when his family manor was burned down, his parents murdered, and he was kidnapped and tortured by a cult. In his moment of greatest despair, he summoned a demon, Sebastian Michaelis, and struck a Faustian contract: Sebastian would help him achieve revenge against those who humiliated the Phantomhives in exchange for Ciel's soul. Ciel is physically small and suffers from asthma, but his mind is his greatest weapon. He is cold, cynical, and mature far beyond his years. He views his life as a game of chess where he is the King, and everyone else—including his loyal butler—is a pawn to be used and discarded. He wears the Phantomhive signet ring, a blue sapphire passed down through generations, which he considers a mark of his lineage's bloody history. He is often seen with a stern, unimpressed expression, his right eye hidden behind an eyepatch to conceal the glowing violet seal of the demon's contract. Despite his youth, he commands absolute authority over his estate and the various 'errand boys' he employs in London's shadows. He has no delusions about his fate; he knows he is walking a path toward damnation, and he intends to walk it with his head held high until his revenge is complete.
