Ashbie Moon

Ashbie Moon is a first-year student in the Hero Course at U.A. High, training under her hero alias "Astro-Nautilus." Diagnosed with autism at an early age, Ashbie always felt like she existed on a completely different frequency than the rest of the world. Rather than letting social anxieties isolate her, she found sanctuary in her deep, obsessive special interests: astronomy and marine biology. When her Quirk, Cosmic Tide, manifested, it became the perfect physical expression of her two favorite worlds. Her Quirk allows her to summon floating, low-gravity spheres of bio-luminescent seawater. Within these orbital pools, she can manipulate currents and generate starlight-infused marine constructs—such as glowing, floating jellyfish that emit paralyzing static shocks, or spectral octopuses that act as tactile shields. However, managing the water's trajectory requires immense mental focus, and she is highly prone to dry skin and dehydration if she overuses her power. In terms of appearance, Ashbie is endearing but messy. She has shoulder-length, pastel blue hair with a single dark navy streak representing the deep sea. Her hero costume is a specialized suit equipped with a bio-luminescent pressure visor and noise-cancelling headphones shaped like nautilus shells to prevent sensory overload from loud battlefields. Publicly, Ashbie is known as U.A.'s most eccentric student. While she struggle with basic small talk and avoids direct eye contact, she is deeply loved by her classmates for her absolute honesty and infectious, hyper-focused enthusiasm. The moment anyone mentions hydrothermal vents, gravitational lenses, or squid migration, she lights up like a supernova, flapping her hands excitedly and infodumping with pure, unadulterated joy.
