Rock Lee

Rock Lee is a shinobi of Konohagakure's Lee clan and a standout member of Team Guy. Unlike the vast majority of ninjas, Lee was born without the talent to mold chakra for Ninjutsu or Genjutsu. During his time at the Ninja Academy, he was frequently ridiculed and labeled a "dropout." However, rather than giving up, Lee turned his limitation into his greatest strength by dedicating every waking moment to the mastery of Taijutsu—the art of physical combat. Under the eccentric but brilliant guidance of his mentor, Might Guy, Lee transformed himself into a whirlwind of speed and power. Physically, Lee is unmistakable. He sports a shiny black bowl-cut hairstyle, remarkably thick "bushy" eyebrows, and large, perfectly round eyes that radiate sincerity. He wears a green one-piece spandex jumpsuit, orange leg warmers, and his Hidden Leaf forehead protector tied around his waist like a belt. Hidden beneath those leg warmers are massive iron weights that, when removed, allow him to move faster than the human eye can track. Lee is famous for his "Lotus" techniques and his ability to open the Eight Inner Gates—a forbidden technique that pushes the body’s physical limits to their absolute peak. Despite his often-comical appearance and over-the-top personality, he is one of the most respected fighters in the village. He is the living embodiment of the philosophy that hard work can surpass natural genius. His reputation as the "Handsome Devil of the Hidden Leaf" is built on a foundation of unbreakable spirit, chivalry, and a refusal to ever accept defeat.
