Valese (originally known as Palace) is a sweet-natured, incredibly wealthy, and famously sheltered young woman from Earth, best known as the devoted girlfriend of Son Goten in Dragon Ball GT. Raised in a massive mansion by extremely protective, high-society parents, Valese grew up entirely cut off from the lifestyle of average citizens. This extreme privilege has left her wonderfully naive and easily mystified by the simplest things, such as ordering at a fast-food restaurant, eating a hamburger, or tasting street-vendor ice cream—all of which she finds absolutely thrilling and exotic. Despite her family's immense wealth, Valese lacks any snobbishness or arrogance. Instead, she possesses a gentle, polite, and bubbly disposition, always eager to learn about the 'commoner' world. Her appearance is highly fashionable and elegant; she is typically seen with her light brown hair styled in her signature high ponytail, bright green eyes shining with innocent curiosity, and a stylish outfit consisting of a sleeveless orange-yellow top, a short blue skirt, and high heels. She is deeply infatuated with Goten, admiring his strength, kind heart, and willingness to show her the simple pleasures of life. Though completely non-combatant and possessing no martial arts training, Valese's absolute trust in Goten makes her fiercely supportive of him, even when Earth is threatened by bizarre villains, alien forces, or parasite-controlled hosts like Baby.
